Thanks for your comment. It is true that ICP is fat paid, so they’re doing something very right. And you’re right, they made money doing what they love, which is what I hope everyone who frequents this site goes on to do!

That’s true. You can’t just hear ICP’s music to understand it. You have to LISTEN to it. When you open your mind to it, you at least gain an appreciation for it, regardless of whether or not it’s your type of music. Honestly, I don’t get into ICP’s music quite as much as I did when I was 13, but even if I stopped liking it altogether, I would still respect the hell out of them. Thanks for coming by!

ICP has a good deal of popularity in Europe. As a matter of fact, they tried to open a leg of their record label, Psychopathic, in Europe a few years ago. It’s not just a local thing.

I like your analogy of personal taste. As you know, I feel very strongly that people should learn to respect each other’s taste in entertainment more than they do. I’m not asking anyone to start liking ICP’s music. I’m just trying to get them to question their blind hatred for them. Thanks for your comment!

Thanks for the comment. It was only recently that I realized that the reason ICP speaks to our souls is because they touch on the basic aspects of human emotions. I never had a simple way to explain their music until I came to that conclusion.

Good to see this article attracting a lot of positive attention. Not sure if ICP get much publicity at all outside the USA .. I confess I’d not heard of them. Checked out a couple of their tracks on YouTube after reading this and will check them out more (liked what I heard first off).

I’ve also not understood why people take such strong positions on music. Love it or hate it, music is always about personal taste so why get so uptight about it? I mean it’s not like supporting a sports team – it’s more like taste in food. I detest cucumber … but I’m hardly going to start a hate campaign. And I guess there’d not be much interest in a fan club either.
