“Purgatory”
Here is the first of four special Halloween season tracks that I’m offering you this month of October. Envision, if you will, a vision of your own death. Now that you’re dead, all of your questions about the afterlife are about to be answered. You awaken to find that you are in a place that resembles neither Heaven nor Hell as you know it. However, you suddenly find that your body has been riddled with fire. You suddenly hear a voice telling you that despite living an honorable life, you are not yet fit to enter the eternal bliss of heaven, and thus your soul must first be cleansed with scorching hot fire until you are deemed pure enough to move on. This pain is constant and worse than anything you ever felt than during your life. As you writhe and scream in pain, your only thought is the question of how long will this go on? If the church was right about what was considered to be “sin”, then you fear that you’re going to be burning for a good long time…
I composed “Purgatory” to express the feeling of darkness that would overcome a soul who has been sentenced to a spiritual “cleansing” with no knowledge of the length of the sentence. This is an instrumental which means there are no words or lyrics. I would prefer that you use the Soundclick link, because that helps my chart position on there, but feel free to use the second link if you would like to instead.
Hey, I liked it a lot!! I really did. And I was humming a funky little weird “devilish” melody on top of it, more like a little demented dee-dee-dee-lee-dee thing.
I like the bass rhythmic thing.

Hi Jannie, I’m glad you checked it out and enjoyed it! That’s funny about your little “devilish” melody. LOL. I wasn’t sure about the bass, because I thought it was too loud, and what not, but putting my music on here has been an exercise in overcoming my perfectionism.
