Wow, thanks Doug! I wonder how it's been like that. I'll work on fixing that tonight! And btw, I'm glad that I could give a blogging expert such as yourself something to think about.

Love the post Trey! I love how you relate a blog to a living thing... which it is. Not only does the holiday design look great... but this post also gave me some stuff to really think about with our blog... thanks!

One thing... in you leave a reply... you need to guess what each text box is for, as there is no text to each of them letting you know what you are suppose to put in there (Name, Email, URL, Comment). Just thought you should know :)

@ suzen

You're welcome. I was hoping to inspire people with this post. I hope to hear from you again in the future.

@ Ian

Thank you! I'm still "playing" around with my look, but I'm closer now than I have ever been. I wish that I would have just realized that my old theme wouldn't work, and just gave up on it, but I guess the best lessons are the ones you learn yourself. And yeah, if "changing your blog's clothes" sounds like fun, then why not? Let's all have fun!

@ Cynthia

Thanks for the kind words. I'll try to keep good posts coming. I always get the most feedback from my blogging related posts, so I've been doing them more frequently. I'm glad I was able to inspire you. Thanks for stopping by!

I love how you apply the organic metaphor to blogging.

I must admit that I spent the first six months on mine just playing around with the look. I changed it every few days until I got it how I wanted. I haven't touched the look much since then - but why not? I mean even if the look was perfect (of course there is no such thing) then it would still need a change of clothes from time to time.

Absolutely fascinating concept - THANK you!!!! I love the creativity here! This really puts in words how I've felt about my blog and blogging in general though I never considered it as deeply as you've outlined. GREAT! Glad I read it! I need to go feed the baby now. :)

Yep, that I did Trey, no excuse for it either. But I agree with you, it would be fun to have a different theme for different occasions. If I get some time I'll whip a Halloween one.
