I’m a concerned parent, and I want to know whether I should allow my child to visit Swollen Thumb Entertainment.

We here at Swollen Thumb Entertainment believe in the exercise of free speech and uninhibited creativity.  With that in mind, the content on this site will range anywhere from a “G” Rating all the way to a “PG-13″ rating.  We’re not in the adult industry here though, so don’t expect anything overly sexual.

As far as comments go, only the most vulgar or threatening comments will be moderated.  Like I said before, free speech!

What is “The 411″ on the home page?

“The 411″ includes any newsworthy items about Swollen Thumb Entertainment that we feel are worth knowing, but not a big enough deal to immortalize with a blog posting.  Mostly temporary news items and such.

How can I get an icon (avatar) next to my name when I leave comments?

Who creates the pictures in the articles?

We take pride in crediting the creator of all pictures with a clickable link on each picture.  If the picture isn’t linked to an outside page, or credited otherwise, then it was created by Trey Baird.

How long has Swollen Thumb Entertainment been online?

The site was officially launched on January 9, 2009.

It depends.  Our mission is to create an alternative source of entertainment, and to help others who also want to do so.  Anyone who is down with that mission stands a good chance of being mentioned here.

How do you pronounce the surname “Baird”?

The same way you would pronounce the word “bared”.  It rhymes with “dared”, “scared”, and “cared”.  And believe me, I’ve heard of every conceivable way to mispronounce my name!
