FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
I’m a concerned parent, and I want to know whether I should allow my child to visit Swollen Thumb Entertainment.
We here at Swollen Thumb Entertainment believe in the exercise of free speech and uninhibited creativity. With that in mind, the content on this site will range anywhere from a “G” Rating all the way to a soft “R” rating. We’re not in the adult industry here though, so don’t expect anything overly sexual.
As far as comments go, only the most vulgar or threatening comments will be moderated. Like I said before, free speech!
How can I get an icon (avatar) next to my name when I leave comments?
Check out Gravatar’s website for this info.
Who creates the pictures in the articles?
Some of the pictures are pulled from various sources on the internet. All of the graphic design, unless otherwise noted, is done by Trey Baird.
How long has Swollen Thumb Entertainment been online?
The site was officially launched on January 9, 2009.
May I link to your site?
Absolutely! Let’s spread the message and really create something here!
Will you link to me?
It depends. Our mission is to create an alternative source of entertainment, and to help others who also want to do so. Anyone who is down with that mission stands a good chance of being mentioned here.
Can I republish or translate content from Swollen Thumb Entertainment on my own web site, in my book, in my newsletter, etc?
No. Feel free to link to any pages on this site however.
How do you pronounce the surname “Baird”?
The same way you would pronounce the word “bared”. It rhymes with “dared”, “scared”, and “cared”. And believe me, I’ve heard of every conceivable way to mispronounce my name!
You’ve been doing a lot of Juggalo related content. Is this a “Juggalo Blog”?
I identify as a juggalo, and I have nothing but love for juggalos. However, to label this as a juggalo website or a juggalo business would be wrong. Even though juggalos are 100% welcome here, the nature of this business goes beyond the world of juggalos.
